Pasta Flora (Jam Tart)

Ingredients

flour powdered sugar  baking powder  salt  butter, diced egg vanilla extract jam

STEP 1

Sift together the flour, powdered sugar, baking powder and salt into a large bowl.

STEP 2

Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the diced butter.

STEP 3

Using your fingertips, rub everything together until the mixture looks sandy.

STEP 4

Add the egg and vanilla extract. Knead just until the dough comes together.

STEP 5

Cut out about a third of the dough and save it for the lattice top. 

STEP 6

Line a tart pan with pastry. Then spoon the jam onto the tart and spread it evenly.

STEP 7

Decorate with the remaining dough. Brush with egg wash if desired. Then bake until golden.
