Pâte Sablée

Ingredients

flour sugar salt butter egg

STEP 1

Sift the flour into a large bowl. 

STEP 2

Add the sugar and salt. Whisk to combine then add the butter.

STEP 3

Using your fingertips, rub everything together until the mixture looks sandy.

STEP 4

Add the egg and knead just until combined.

STEP 5

Divide the dough into two portions. Cover tightly and chill.

STEP 6

Roll out between two sheets of parchment paper then line your tart pan.

STEP 7

Prick the dough with a fork then chill for at least an hour. 

STEP 7

Bake until golden. Cool down completely before filling. Enjoy!
